Where did Manicures start? The word manicure came into existence around 1880. The French manicure was born in around 1800 during a period when almond shaped nails were all the fashion. Creams and Oils were then applied to the nails and the nails were then buffed to a glossy shine.

Although the term manicure is relatively new, women and men have been enjoying the therapeutic health benefits of manicures for more than 5,000 years. The first practice of manicures that has been documented has been traced to India. Indian women used henna, or Mehnedi, as it was called, as nail coloring. Later, this practice would be adopted by the ancient Egyptians and Incas.

Nail polish debuted in 3,000 BC in China. Color and length indicated social status. Black and Red were favored by the elite. Interestingly enough, red was also the favorite color of Egyptian rulers Nefertiti and Cleopatra.

Today’s advancements in the formulation of nail products offer beautiful colors and tremendous durability while promoting the health of the natural nail. Some Indian Manicure salons offer paraben free, vegan hand and feet rituals. In addition all their nail care products are free of DBP, Toluene, and Formaldehyde.

There are some tips for those of you who plan to visit an Indian Manicure salon. They include: Always take your own manicure and pedicure instruments with you to the salon. That way you can avoid the possibility of infections. Your technician will not mind using your own instruments; don’t allow your cuticles to be cut. Removal of the cuticles can promote bacterial and yeast infections. If you should bleed during a pedicure or manicure, you could also possibly expose yourself to the transmission of diseases such as HIV or hepatitis. Ask your manicurist to simply push back the cuticle to give it a neat appearance; don’t allow the manicurist to file the surface of your nails. This is routinely done prior to the application of acrylic nails. Filing your natural nails will result in thinning that may require months or years to resolve; don’t shave your legs before a pedicure. Small nicks in your skin can become infected by bacteria in the pedicure water, and: If you wear acrylic nails don’t wear them for a long period of time. They can lead to thinning of your natural nail and promote the growth of bacteria or fungus in your natural nails. The chemical adhesives used to bond acrylic nails can also result in an allergic reaction.

Indian Manicures and Pedicures allow men and women feel pampered, well groomed, and special. By following a few tips, they can be done safely and improve the health of your nails.

Welcome to IndianManicure.com. The mainstay of the Indian Manicure is the French Manicure. It is the latest craze among in the nail fashion world. Basically, it is like any other manicure, however, one of the differences is that at the end of the manicure the entire nail is painted with a base color and only the tips are painted white. Another difference is that the nails are shaped differently as they are slightly square shaped as opposed to the conventional rounded tips. The entire nail is then coated with varnish.

The days when plain manicured nails with a simple coat of paint were the fashion statement are gone forever. Since the imaginative creative techniques have taken hold, nail art on French manicures has become highly fashionable. Nail art is particularly well suited for French manicured nails because these nails have extended longevity and provides a solid canvas for nail art. It’s like a blank canvas for the nail stylist where he or she can allow the creativity to take charge.

There are various types of French manicure nail art at Indian Manicure salons. You can choose from a glittery to a bejeweled look or from a sculpted to a textured style. Most Indian Manicure salons have jewelry for almost all parts of the body including the usual and the unusual. Many people don’t hesitate anymore to pierce their tongues today, so why not pierce nails? Jewelry such as small silver ringlets or other jewelry is often used for nails. The process is as simple as drilling a hole, like in your ear or nose, and fitting the ring in it. One can choose from numerous colors and styles to match the outfit. Besides jewelry, gemstones or similar kind bindis are also hugely popular as nail art. Various colors and designs are used to create a kaleidoscope.

One can also experiment a lot with different types of coloring techniques and paints to go with the occasion or theme. One can adopt a funky look for a college party such as animal prints or a jungle theme. If you are on vacation to a sunset landscape with a silhouette of the coconut tree is apt to go with your holiday mood.

Airbrush techniques, color blends, and shading with stick ons like stones, golden gemstones, tropical, pinks, and lilacs are some of the numerous coloring techniques for embellishing French manicure nail art. Many Indian Manicure salons also use metallic shades or a clear varnish for a glamorous look. For those people who want something a little louder, bindis and stick on tattoos are a good option. For a wedding function, gemstones, mini pearls, and rhinestones will work.

So, whatever design or style you choose from the Indian Manicure salon, just ensure that it fits your personality and the occasion. Also, if you are worried about your new French manicure getting in the way at work, don’t be. Nail art is not an inconvenience. These days, nail art is a fashion statement for most women, be it a funky or a trendy look. It’s all to do with how you play with the patterns, embellishments, texture, shades, type of paint, and colors. So the next time you are in the mood for a French manicure try an Indian Manicure salon.

Indian Manicure provides the process for making hands and feet more beautiful. Makeup and Beauty are a very broad perception. These are not limited to lips, eyes, and nose, but include all the body organs. Hands and feet are very much observable thus it becomes crucial to make them appreciable with little attention and care.
An Indian Manicure is very significant as soft and attractive hands with well spruced nails enhance one’s personality. Men and women both like their hands to be pampered with the art of manicure. This beauty treatment includes cleaning and massaging for hands till wrist along with groomed nails. .
Many people concentrate mostly on their face to look beautiful and ignore the hands. This is a wrong notion. The Indian Manicure is a therapeutic process which helps in preventing the nails from splitting, tearing and having brittle tips. The massage given on the entire hand or foot improves the blood circulation in the hand and foot veins, makes the wrist and ankle movement smooth and flexible. It also assists in keeping the hand and feet skin soft and wrinkle free.
Our hands do a lot for us and need nurturing in return. An Indian Manicure will improve skin and nail condition. During a professional Indian Manicure the nails are shaped gently and the nail plate is then cleaned with either special soaks or a non drying polish remover.
The art of manicure began some 5000 years ago in India at which time henna was used for manicure. The term Mehandi, a synonym for henna, is derived from the Sanskrit mehandika. The word manicure comes from the Latin manus, which means hand, and cura, which means care.
An Indian manicure is a beauty treatment for your fingernails and hands. Apart from cleaning, nourishing, and softening your hands, an Indian Manicure will also include filing and shaping the nails and applying nail polish. An Indian Manicurist can also apply jewels on nails, or paint pictures or designs on them. You should visit an Indian Manicurist who is licensed as she is dealing with the skin on your hand. There is a risk of infection if the tools are not properly cleaned and sanitized as the same tools are used on a number of people.
Full Manicures and deluxe manicures with varnish are available from most Indian Manicure salons. A Deluxe Manicure includes filing, cuticles, varnish and arm and hand massage. Manicures and varnish take approximately one hour. Deluxe Manicures take a little longer. Indian Manicure salons also have male Manicures available.
Indian Manicure salons also provide full pedicures, deluxe pedicures, and varnish. They include hard skin removal, nail trimming, foot and leg massage, cuticles pushed back and trimmed, and varnish. Pedicures take approximately 1 hour. Deluxe pedicures take a little longer.
Indian Manicure salons like to treat all their clients as individual consultations which are carried out prior to treatment, to understand concerns and issues. Why not treat yourself to an Indian Manicure or pedicure?
